Cancellation and Refund Policy

The terms for cancelling a 1000FLAT project and requesting a refund.

Last updated: October 2, 2026

This Cancellation and Refund Policy explains the terms under which clients may cancel a project and request a refund when purchasing website development or web application development services from 1000FLAT (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By purchasing our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

1. Our Services and Payment Terms

1000FLAT provides website development and lightweight web application development services under a defined project scope.

Our standard project price is $1,000, unless a different price is agreed upon in writing.

Unless otherwise agreed, payments are structured as follows:

Additional work outside the approved scope may incur additional charges, which will be communicated to and approved by the client before the work begins.

2. Seven-Day Cancellation and Refund Period

We offer a 7-day cancellation period beginning on the date your initial payment is received.

If you decide not to proceed with your project within these seven calendar days, you may submit a cancellation and refund request by contacting us at the email address provided on our website.

The amount refunded will depend on the stage of the project, the work already completed, any applicable non-refundable third-party costs, the terms agreed upon before payment, and applicable law.

Where permitted by applicable law, we may deduct the reasonable value of work already performed and non-refundable third-party costs incurred specifically for your project. Any deductions will be explained to you.

The seven-day period does not automatically guarantee a full refund. Your statutory rights, including any mandatory cancellation or refund rights, remain unaffected by this policy.

3. Cancellation Before Development Begins

If you request cancellation before development has started, we will review your request and refund the eligible amount of your initial payment, subject to any applicable non-refundable costs and legal requirements.

If no work has been performed and no non-refundable costs have been incurred, the initial payment will generally be refunded in full, unless applicable law or a prior written agreement requires otherwise.

4. Cancellation After Development Has Started

If development has already begun, you may still request cancellation.

We will assess the work completed up to the cancellation date and calculate the eligible refund based on the agreed project scope, the reasonable value of work performed, any applicable non-refundable costs, and applicable law.

We will provide an explanation of any deductions before processing the refund.

Where the value of work completed and eligible costs equals or exceeds the amount paid, no refund may be due, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

5. Cancellation After the Seven-Day Period

Cancellation requests submitted after the initial seven-calendar-day period will be reviewed individually.

Because website and application development involves time and resources allocated to each project, payments for work already completed are generally non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly agreed to in writing.

Any unused portion of a payment will be assessed fairly in light of the project status, the agreed terms, and applicable law.

6. Delays and Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing the information, content, assets, feedback, and approvals reasonably required to complete their projects.

Delays caused by missing materials, delayed feedback, changes in requirements, or third-party services may affect the delivery timeline.

If a project is delayed because the client does not provide required materials or feedback, we will communicate the issue and may agree on a revised timeline.

If 1000FLAT is unable to deliver the agreed services, we will work with the client to find a reasonable solution, which may include a revised delivery date, a partial refund, or another remedy required by applicable law.

7. Scope Changes and Additional Work

The project price covers only the features, pages, screens, and functionality included in the approved project scope.

Requests for additional features, substantial revisions, new integrations, or other work outside the approved scope may require an additional quote.

We will obtain the client's approval before proceeding with chargeable additional work.

Disagreement over proposed additional work does not automatically entitle either party to disregard the original agreed scope or applicable contractual rights.

8. Bugs and Post-Launch Support

Approved projects include a 30-day bug-fix period following launch for reproducible bugs that prevent the delivered functionality from operating substantially as agreed in the approved scope.

This period does not cover new features, design changes, third-party service failures, changes made by the client or other developers, or issues caused by services outside our control.

Where appropriate, we will first attempt to resolve valid issues within the agreed scope. A refund is not automatic where a bug can reasonably be corrected, subject to any rights available under applicable law.

9. Third-Party Costs

Third-party expenses may include hosting, domains, paid plugins, software subscriptions, API usage, payment processing fees, or other services purchased specifically for a project.

Any third-party costs charged to the client will be disclosed where reasonably possible.

Non-refundable third-party costs may be excluded from a refund only where permitted by applicable law and where the relevant terms have been properly disclosed.

We will acknowledge your request and review it as soon as reasonably possible. We may contact you if additional information is required.

11. Refund Processing

Once a refund is approved, it will normally be issued to the original payment method where possible.

Processing times may depend on the payment provider and the client's financial institution. We will communicate any relevant processing information when confirming the refund.

Any deductions will be explained to the client.

12. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or replaces any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

Depending on the client's location, the nature of the purchase, and whether the client is acting as a consumer or a business, mandatory cancellation rights or other protections may apply.

Where applicable law provides rights that are more favorable to the client than this policy, applicable law will prevail.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version applicable to a project will generally be the version provided or referenced at the time of purchase, subject to applicable law and any subsequent written agreement.
